Our History
In 1983 a group of Hot Air Balloon enthusiasts who lived in and around Jackson came up with the dream of a family friendly event for the Jackson Community. The Hot Air Jubilee was born. Since then the Jubilee has grown to an event that thousands of people attend every summer. 25-30 Balloons come in from around the country to participate in the friendly rivalry of the contests.
Our Mission
The Hot Air Jubilee is dedicated to uniting the community through a family-friendly event that celebrates the beauty of hot air balloons.
What to Expect
The main focus of the Jubilee is obviously the Hot Air Balloons, however that’s not all there is to enjoy. When you and your family come to Ella Sharp Park during the event you will be greeted by some longtime Jubilee favorites such as Craft booths, the Kids Kingdom, Vendors, and an Auto Show. Being at the park this year offers a whole new set of opportunities for you to experience the Hurst Planetarium, Ella Sharp Museum, and the Mini Golf Course.
501(c)(3)
The Hot Air Jubilee is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization operated by committed volunteers. Its success is made possible through the generous sponsorships and donations from individuals who recognize the significance of fostering community events and appreciate the splendor of hot air balloons gracing the sky.
